From pub classics to plant-based parties, these places offer deals for dining and dinner

Thanksgiving weekend 2021 is a little more open than last year. Toronto Public Health officials advise that masks without masks with people from different households be kept small, and hosts ask participants for vaccination status.

But great takeaway specials are still offered at many of the city’s restaurants and grocers. If you did not get it to pre-order a party in a place with a strict deadline, do not fear: this is a list of 10 restaurants and bakeries that make Thanksgiving dinners for dining and takeaway. We have specified pick-up dates and cases where pre-orders require notice.


Danforth Irish pub staple Allen’s is making another Thanksgiving special and it’s as classic as they come. The 10.-11. October, roasted ginger-maple-glazed turkey, curried butternut squash soup, baked double ham, roasted Brussels sprouts and pumpkin pie are on the menu. You can also order pickup.

Bar St. Lo

The new restaurant from the Collectif Nude team is doing a Friendsgiving prix fixe ($ 55) all weekend. Guests can also order à la carte from the menu, which serves butternut squash soup ($ 11), all-you-can-eat turkey balloon ($ 34) and a pumpkin cheesecake with a bacon and date crust ($ 13).

If you need a special meat dish and the supermarket options are not exciting for you this year, Anthony Rose’s BBQ joint makes a whole smoked turkey breast ($ 69) and BBQ bacon pieces ($ 19) for pickup on Friday and Saturday.

The newly opened plant-based Italian restaurant Gia is making vegan and vegetarian Thanksgiving specials for two ($ 110) to eat and eat. The mains are lasagne (vegan) and porcini agnolotti with a side of rapini, and the dessert is a semolina cake with olive oil.

Skip the turkey and try Chef Eric Chong’s toasted pekin duck with roasted garlic husk, cucumber, leek and steamed baos. You must pre-order at least 24 hours in advance.

The O & B team’s traditional British pub makes pre-dining and take-away pre-orders for Thanksgiving. The highest concept with the offerings offered is a foot long turkey and bacon sausage. Traditionalists who fancy turkey can choose the casserole pie. For dessert: pumpkin pie with caramel sauce. Pickup is October 8-9.

San Remo Bakery

Mimico Italian Bakery and the catering’s Thanksgiving party sets you back $ 120 and serves about six people. What you get: Hormone-free, boneless turkey breast, a side of carrots and peas, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, a French Vienna and a pumpkin pie. Order online for pickup on Sunday.
