AFL star Bailey Smith’s rumors of romance with influencer Cartia Mallan have a popular podcasting trio considering whether it’s nothing more than an “advertising stunt”.
In an episode of the Outspoken Podcast, sisters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber revealed their surprise at seeing recent photos of the couple together.
It comes after the western bulldog’s heartbeat with a floating mullet was seen cuddling up to a mysterious brunette in Perth’s magnet house on Wednesday between free-floating shots and selfies with a bunch of women desperate for his attention.
“It made me wonder if it’s all been a bit of an advertising stunt, because Bailey Smith is one of the most popular AFL players, and that coincides with Cartia releasing her podcast,” said one of the sisters.
“Obviously she has to create that momentum because people want to listen to the first episode, but it’s really hard to get people back to another episode, and what better way than to tease that you have to interview this potential new boyfriend?
Another of the sisters said, “I actually do not think they are lovers at all because Bailey wrote during the post’s best chat with the sisters and he tagged Cartia. Is it not an absolute combustion? ”
Smith and Mallan were snapped together earlier this week after the footy star had a guest appearance on her podcast Common Chaos, which she co-hosts with influencer Ashton Wood.
Mallan shared a photo of Bailey in the studio for her Instagram Stories and said he would join her podcast.

“Could not have had a better first guest. You will love this episode. Incredible person inside and out, ”she wrote.
To add more fuel to the fire, Smith was reportedly in a relationship with Izzy Armitage until recently.
In August, Armitage shared photos of her and Smith from her 21st birthday.
It appears they fell out shortly after the party, which coincides with photos of Smith and Mallan appearing on social media.
Armitage has not followed Smith on Instagram since.
