Manchester United’s upcoming Champions League opponents Atalanta have been hit by another injury blow.
Earlier this week, we reported how winger Robin Gosens has been ruled out of United matches with Tuttomercatoweb, where he says he faces two months on the sidelines.
Now he is set to be joined by attacking midfielder Matteo Pessina.

Pessina scored the winning goal for Atalanta against Young Boys in late September to send them to the top of the group.
But he was carried off against AC Milan in the Serie A showdown last Sunday.
Pessina had to withdraw from the Italian squad over the international break.
Now the newspaper L’Eco Di Bergamo Pessina reports a month and a half on the sidelines.
This would exclude the 24-year-old midfielder from the two matches with Manchester United to be held on 16 October and 2 November.
Pessina has four goals in 11 games for Italy and he had in eight games for Atalanta to start the season.
Double blow, but United also without players
Atalanta’s double blow benefits United in the scrap to end up in the top two in a very competitive group so far, where all four teams are separated by only two points after two games.
But United are also without a few players. Aaron Wan-Bissaka faces another game with suspension unless an appeal succeeds.
Harry Maguire is about to miss the first match against Atalanta at least.
There are never any guarantees in the Champions League and Atalanta provide a seriously difficult tactical test for United who line up in their starting XI.
That’s certainly true, though they are a little less threatening without Gosens and Pessina available.
