Here are some great last minute Thanksgiving meals around Vancouver

Uh oh, now we’ve gone and done it. Thanksgiving is only a few short days away and here we sat like bumps on a beam and forgot about it. Thankfully, we do not have to stress too much, as there are still a few options for Thanksgiving meals in Vancouver that are not “here’s what we found in the grocery store on Sunday afternoon.”

So, appropriately created at the eleventh hour, here are some great last-minute Thanksgiving meals to enjoy around Vancouver.

We start things off with the easiest option in town. For a hassle-free, yet delicious Turkey dinner, your best bet is on Fable Diner. The price is $ 25 per. Person. It contains stuffing, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, gravy, cranberry sauce and a scone. And of course some turkey.

When: October 9 (takeaway only) and October 10
Opportunities: Available via takeaway or dining

Straight & Marrow

Our second ‘classic’ option on this list is a relative newcomer to the stage who has more than earned his place. This weekend, they are creating a decadent turkey dinner with turkey roulade, Brussels sprouts with lard, cranberry sauce, foie sauce and mashed potatoes. It sounds delicious, but just make sure to make room for dessert!

When: October 8-10
Opportunities: Eat only

Provence Marinaside

To complete the trio in the classic dinner, we suggest Provence Marina side. This acclaimed French restaurant keeps things classic for their Thanksgiving meal and offers a turkey dinner with sides like roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes plus all the fixes.

When: October 11 and October 12
Opportunities: Eat only

Red Wagon Cafe

And if you’re looking for something just a little different this year, we definitely recommend Red Wagon. This East Van staple offers a confectionery flour instead of classic turkey, with a special standout side being the pomme sarladaise (potatoes cooked in duck fat). Plus, this is a first come, first served basis, so get there early and you’re golden!

When: October 7 to October 9
Opportunities: Eat only

We could not forget a few alternatives to meat! First up is The Acorn making an ‘Everything But the Bird’ meal this weekend. It’s close to sold out, but those who do not mind eating a little later can still get a reservation. Alternatively, there are waiting lists, but we would not risk it.

When: October 10 and October 11
Opportunities: Eat only

Pizzeria Grano

While this is not exactly a traditional Thanksgiving version, we do not care because it sounds delicious. The plant pizza Pizzeria Grano makes a full meal with salad to start with, a Thanksgiving pizza (which sounds great) and even pumpkin pie for dessert. And $ 45, this is one of the cheaper options here.

When: Now until October 10th
Opportunities: Takeaway and dining available

Once again- our bad here for dropping the ball on Thansgiving opportunities in Vancouver. But hey, we’m just happy that a few places around town have covered us this weekend! Have fun out there.
