Warner Bros. Pictures has released the official final trailer for filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s big screen adaptation of the classic Frank Herbert novel “Dune”.
After already being rolled out in some global markets, where it has already exceeded $ 100 million, the film arrives in US and Chinese cinemas on October 22, along with being available to US HBO Max subscribers the same day.
The first of two proposed films based on the first book, the story lies in the distant future and follows Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), whose noble family accepts control of the desert planet Arrakis.
As the only planet capable of producing the very valuable resource known as the Spice Range, which allows space travel, control of Arrakis is highly disputed among the noble families.
When Atreides is betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion, and man’s relationship to nature, as a betrayed Paul leads a revolt to restore his family’s control of Arrakis.
Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Stephen McKinley Henderson also star.
