However, it has nothing to do with the food — it’s a little known fact about how transit works.

TikTok user @secretfitzz has revealed that Macca’s executives can hear every word of what you say in your car while you wait for your order.
“The fact that people do not know we can hear your convoys even if we do not speak to you taking your order,” the TikTok video is subtitled.
“And we have a camera by the speaker that takes a picture of you, so we know whose order is who.
“Seeing mugshots of random people makes my day.”
In Australia, pictures of cars are taken as they pull up to the speaker box to place their order, but are not saved and do not catch the driver’s face clearly, a spokesman said.
The video of the British Macca employee has been viewed more than 99,000 times and has more than 3300 comments.
Some joked that the staff could not hear the conversations in the car when they seemed to have difficulty hearing the order.
“How can you hear my convo when you can not hear me screaming into the microphone from 5 cm away,” one person wrote.
“Erm, we’ll never go through drive-thru again,” replied another.
A Maccas customer said they already knew this and had deliberately “messed up” in conversations to intimidate staff.
A supporter, probably also a McDonald’s employee, wrote: “The things I heard, bro.”
Another would make sure the camera got their good side.
“Pls at what time do you take the picture, I need time to pose,” they wrote.
But most were really surprised.
“New fear unlocked,” one wrote, while another simply said, “TURNED.”
