Mental wellness in mind as Hootsuite unveils redesigned Vancouver office (PHOTOS)

Hootsuite has unveiled its redesigned Vancouver office, and while it is a beautiful place, it was also designed with mental health in mind.

If you do not know Hootsuite, which was launched in Vancouver, it is a social media management platform that allows the management of multiple social media sites in one convenient dashboard.

The fresh space for the social media experts is sleek and vibrant and has many facilities that help the mental health of the employees.

A lot of planning went into the new office, where the employees’ mental well-being was one of the key elements in the redesign.

The new space is located in Vancouver, in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of 111 East 5th Avenue, tucked away from the busy parts of the area.

Hootsuite’s new office has introduced several facilities to support employees’ mental health.

Facilities include things like bicycle and treadmill tables and a wellness room for nursing mothers and staff who want a place to meditate or pray in.

Ergonomic offices seem to be becoming increasingly important in modern times, and Hootsuite is everywhere with sit-stand desks, adjustable screen arms and ergonomic chairs.

Biophilia fills the pulsating space and helps it constantly feel connected to nature.

In terms of actual productivity spaces, there are 150 new work points.

These workplaces include personal bellows, team bellows and luxury seating areas.

Dimmable lighting is available in all meeting rooms to accommodate anyone who may have light sensitivity. There are also automatic door openers to increase accessibility to the office and bathrooms with gender included.

The new office also has Braille in all rooms.

Hootsuite’s new space opened softly on September 7, while running at 10% capacity due to COVID-19 protocols. Staff can book time in the office using the Robin Booking System, which Hootsuite says has been a hassle-free transition.

Earlier this year, Hootsuite Wellness Week started, which involved shutting down for an entire week. Wellness Week was a recognition of the impact the pandemic had on mental health, and it allowed everyone in the company to “pull the plug.”

The event was a successful break for the staff and will now be a recurring event for the team in 2022.
