This guy’s escape attempt turns out to be pretty squirrel.

A Queens man who tried to avoid arrest by climbing into a tree on Wednesday still refuses to come down after more than 48 hours, police said Friday.

The 44-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with an alleged assault, has been camping out in the tree outside a home on 145th Avenue in Jamaica since 2 pm on Wednesday, police said.

A crowd has formed and seen the NYPD try to get a man out of a tree outside 225-14 145th Ave., Queens, where he has been since Wednesday night, to avoid being arrested on various charges.

He has peed in the wood and survived some food and glucose packaging that gave him Thursday, according to police sources.

Police put the provisions on the roof and the 44-year-old jumped over to grab them but quickly returned to his perch, sources said.

Neighbors told police it was not the first time he had hidden in a tree, according to sources.

Police were called to the house on Wednesday for a report of an assault on a woman.

But when officers arrived, the suspect climbed into a tree from the roof.
