A teenage couple has been accused of raping a 16-year-old girl they met online.

Carl Wecker, 19, and Alexis Davis-Mardis, 18, had police call them during a disturbance at a restaurant in the US state of Kentucky on Wednesday around noon. 23, informs the police.

“Both people seemed to be under the influence of drugs. “While talking to the people, Carl Wecker admitted to throwing a bag of fentanyl lacing Xanax after he was told police were on their way,” the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy Ben Green said while talking to Davis-Mardis that he learned the couple had been involved in an altercation at a nearby home.

Police said the couple had met a girl they had talked to online, claiming they admitted to having committed sexual acts against her – some were recorded on a phone.

That phone is under forensic examination.

“Both Alexis Davis-Mardis and Carl Wecker were taken to a hospital where a search warrant was executed to obtain DNA evidence and then transported to the McCracken County Jail,” police said.

Both were charged with rape, public intoxication and possession of drugs among a number of charges.
