Victim identified, photo of suspected vehicle released in Surrey gang that killed

Homicide investigators have identified the victim and released a photo linked to a fatal shooting in Surrey on Tuesday.

The integrated homicide investigation team says Sharnbeer Singh Somal, 28, was shot down near 124th Street and 80th Avenue, just before noon.

Investigators later found a black Ford pickup on fire near 129A Street and 72A Avenue, which they believe was linked to the shooting.

Police are appealing for witnesses along with any video recorded at one of the two locations between 8pm and 10.30pm on 5 October.
