Call of Duty 2022 title leaked

A reputable insider leaks Call of Duty 2022’s title, and the name fits perfectly with previous leaks about Infinity Wards’ next game.

While Call of Duty: Vanguard has not even released yet, Call of Duty fans already have lots of info on what the next two games in the series will be. Now this knowledge has grown, as a reputable insider has told Call of Duty community, as the 2022 game is called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

The information in question comes from reputable insider Tom Henderson, who has proven to be correct about Call of Duty, Battlefieldand other franchises on several occasions. Recently, Henderson has shared a lot of information about Call of Dutyis the future. According to his sources, Call of Duty 2023 will be semi-futuristic like what was seen in Call of Duty Black Ops 2. As for next year’s games, it will be a direct follow-up Call of Duty modern warfare 2019, something that many had expected to be the case.

Considering how successful reboot of Modern warfare was for Infinity Ward, it’s hardly a surprise that the developer plans to continue unfolding his new universe. A big question that fans have had, however, is the title of the game. That Call of Duty modern warfare name already confused players in 2019, as a game with the same branding had released in 2007. As such, many wondered if Infinity Ward and Activision would risk joining Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to next year’s game as it would definitely bring just as much confusion.

Instead of going with a super long title like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Infinity Ward goes the easy way. Next year’s games will actually be named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 according to this leak, though slightly different. The Roman numeral for 2 serves as the official title, a clever marketing move to help make next year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II differs from the 2009s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Henderson also claims to have seen visual art and describes it as “amazing.”

As for what Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be about, Henderson believes, the story will focus on fighting drug cartels, where players are likely to be part of Task Force 141. This would be a nice change after many years with Russia as the main antagonist, and it could let players explore iconic places like Favela from the original Modern warfare 2. The restarted Task Force 141 has been confirmed to include Soap, Ghost and Gaz, with several characters likely to join Price’s team as well.

It will be interesting to see where Task Force 141’s story goes, and hopefully the group does better than it did in 2009. For now, though, it seems that fans have a lot to be excited about.
