Inland Empire designer at LA Fashion Week

Nicholas Mayfield calls himself a “creator of the world”.

His world this Sunday is at LA Fashion Week. Mayfields streetwear will once again hit the LAFW show runway at the Peterson Auto Museum.

Mayfield is an artist from Inland Empire. As a kid, he used to say, “all I used to do was just draw, draw, draw, comics.”

His concept is called Nicholas Mayfield Over Everything. He is an artist, designer and maker of bespoke furniture all with a cartoon-like theme and bright colors. His clothes are streetwear.

Mayfield got a lot of press in the Apparel News about a merch deal he landed with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The themes of his work were the theme of Black Lives Matter and Unity.

The Fashion Week season is back in SoCal after being shut down by covid times last year. Runway shows by LAFW were launched on Thursday, October 7 and run through Sunday at the Peterson Auto Museum.

There are a number of fashion events across SoCal during the month of October and on the heels of New York Fashion Week in September.
