This is the shocking moment a man appears to swing a ‘machete’ at two car mirrors.
The incident was captured on a CCTV camera on Nuthurst Road in New Moston, Manchester.
It was shared with Manchester Evening News by the owner of one of the targeted cars.
The woman, who has asked not to be named, lives on the road with her family.
She owns one of the damaged cars, a Range Rover, while her daughter owns the Volkswagen Polo that was targeted.
She said the family only realized something had happened after her daughter went out to her car and saw blood on the windshield.
They then checked CCTV, which showed a man walking down their road smashing both cars’ side mirrors with what appeared to be a machete.
“My daughter went to get in her car and she noticed blood on the windshield,” the woman said.
“Forensic pathologists came out of the samples, but they said they did not match that blood.

“We saw the CCTV with him with the machete.
“You can clearly see how big that machete is, someone had posted on Facebook the same day that someone did the same thing in Failsworth so he could have gone all the way.”
The woman said she wanted GMP to take the incident seriously.
“This happened almost three weeks ago and the first time we saw a police officer was on Monday,” she said. MEN .
The Range Rover costs around £ 200 to £ 300 for repairs and my daughter’s car has been left with around £ 400 in damage.
“My daughter was going to get a new car, but she said it had put her off.”
She said it was the second incident the family has dealt with in the past three months, in which two of their cars were broken into earlier in the year.
She added that she was more concerned about the danger posed by the suspect, rather than the damage to the cars.
“It’s about someone walking around with a machete,” she said.
“We work hard for the things we have. It’s just scary to know that person walks almost a mile or two miles with a machete and no one has seen him.”
