Cohen has the wrong kind of bars for this collab.
Trumps fixer Michael Cohen was seen getting coffee with Kanye West at Sant Ambroeus on the Upper East Side on Thursday, despite still being nominally under house arrest as a result of his conviction for financial fraud, tax evasion and lying to Congress.
A Page Six spy caught Kanye’s coffee gossip on camera. The last time Cohen was seen out eating at a bubbly French bistro Le Bilboquet (also at the UES; at least he is consistent), his lawyer, Jeffrey K. Levine, said he had received “special permission from the BOP [Bureau of Prisons} and RRM [Residential Reentry Management] to eat out. ”
Emails to Cohen’s lawyers on Friday night were not immediately returned.
Cohen, 55, was sentenced to three years for his various misdemeanors in December 2018. He was released from prison in May 2020 due to concerns about COVID-19 and has served the remainder of his sentence, which ends in November under presumed house arrest. But he was also seen eating at Le Bilboquet in July 2020, which The Post reported exclusively at the time.
As for what he could have talked about with Kanye, we’re in the dark. (Oh, to be a fly on the wall.)
West, 44, has previously confessed his admiration for Cohen’s former employer, or perhaps he is holding investigative meetings about his presumed presidential campaign in 2024, about which he was undecided in May.
The rapper gets the most out of his trip to the East Coast, which Side Six exclusively reported he made to help his ex Kim Kardashian with her host stint on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. West has been told to “quietly advise her on her performance [and] her opening monologue, ”so make sure your pages are properly prepared for splitting.
West was also spotted in Connecticut on the hunt, visiting an 80-acre farm in New Canaan, Connecticut, Friday, describing itself as “a humanitarian and cultural center” focusing on “nature, art, justice, community and faith initiatives,” “According to its website.
