Duty lineThe future may be unknown to the public at the moment, but Vicky McClure is keeping busy in the meantime with a brand new crime story on ITV.

The actor will participate in Without sin, a four-part psychological thriller about a mother named Stella Tomlinson who returns home one night to find her 14-year-old daughter has been murdered, and a man named Charles Stone (played by Johnny Harris) stands over his body filled with blood.

Three years later, she is still devoured by grief, lives at night and works as an Uber driver, and still lives with her husband Paul, but alienated from him.

The couple is eventually contacted by Restorative Justice and listens to a recording from Charles who wants to apologize and atone for having murdered their daughter. But when Stella visits him in prison, she is completely shocked at what he has to say to her …

Without sin reunites Vicky McClure with author and creator Frances Poletti, who previously worked with her This is England ’86 in 2010. Her production company Build Your Own Films produces it together with Left Bank Pictures, which has previously worked with Quiz and Kronen.
