A man is sadly dead after a collision with a car, police have confirmed.
Rescue services were called to Broadway in Chadderton, Oldham, just after 10pm on Friday.
Greater Manchester Police said it was following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
Firefighters also attended the scene.
Police confirmed Saturday morning that a 59-year-old man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
He has not been named.
Police say investigations are continuing.
It is understood that the collision took place near the intersection of Eaves Lane, close to The Sportsman pub.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police appealed for witnesses to appear.

“Officers were called around 10:05 pm on October 8, 2021 for reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Broadway, Chadderton.
“The ambulance service in the Northwest also participated, but unfortunately a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details have been revealed.
The road was closed for several hours, from Whitegate Lane to Newman RC College, to investigate accidents.
There was no access to Broadway from Foxdenton Lane or Eaves Lane, with buses also diverted.
