WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Unit Block of O Street, Northwest.
At about 8:21 p.m., members of the third district responded to the scene of gunfire. Upon arrival, members found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded on the scene and found that the victim did not show signs that were compatible with life. The victim remained on the scene until it was transported to the office of the chief physician.
Deceased is identified as 20-year-old Rufus Davis, in Southeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $ 25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
