Now that we know Google is announcing Pixel 6 on October 19th, you can wait patiently to find out its official specifications and design … or check out any large number of Pixel 6 leaks that keep popping up up.
The latest leak gives us a break from the endless specifications. Instead, it seems to show how the Pixel 6 is actually made. Presumably filmed by a factory worker taking a Pixel 6 Pro and his mounting tools home, the video shows a step-by-step process for how someone could assemble a Pixel, given the right tools. 9to5Google first spotted the video.
With sweet music and on-screen instructions showing possible hazards to avoid, the video gives a look at the Pixel 6 Pro’s components: SIM tray, UWB connector, speaker, rear camera module, battery, 5G modem and so on. However, we did not see actual computer components like Google Tensor in the leak.
Overall, it’s a pretty overwhelming video that shows the number of components that need to be screwed or glued in place – and all can fall apart if not designed properly. It really shows why third-party repair can be so difficult, given how difficult it can be to reach a particular damaged component.
While this new video constructs Pixel 6 Pro, the channel’s second leaked video, shows how to separate it safely. We wonder if iFixit and other demolition experts will use these videos as a guide.
We are excited to check out the official Pixel 6 Pro in a little over a week as it will definitely compete with the best Android phones. But these video guides certainly did not convince us that we could make our own Pixel.
