A Queanbeyan woman who violated COVID-19 laws has been fined $ 5,000 for leaving her home after being ordered to isolate herself.
NSW police stopped a Mazda CX-5 as it was driving east on Uriarra Road, in Queanbeyan, around 1 p.m. 13.00 Sunday 3 October 2021.
Officers spoke to the 27-year-old driver and learned that she had been instructed to isolate herself and was therefore in breach of public health orders.

She was escorted home, reminded of her obligations under COVID-19 restrictions and fined $ 5,000 for failing to comply with a direction of self-isolation.
People who have been instructed to isolate themselves while NSW comes out of the COVID-19 lockdown are encouraged to remain compatible.
“Police will continue to conduct welfare checks on individuals who have been instructed to isolate themselves,” a NSW police spokesman said.
