While it is undeniable that the all-new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is lots of fun, fans have been very vocal that the iconic Nicktoon characters are not backed by the iconic voices we have always known them to have.

Getting the many A-list players (like Tom Kenny or Bill Fagerbakke) to either record lines or just borrow their pre-recorded voices is certainly a high order that may not fit within time or budget parameters, but the community has already begun to make it this work even via mods and dubs.

Today we have a quick clip of some NASB match footage between Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star with a whole lot of audio bytes from the show. Most of these are grunts and screams to go along with washing dishes and receiving punishment, but we get a “HI-YAH!” from SpongeBob from the epic karate episode.

It also seems that the editor put a very good imitation of the yellow sponge for the ending sequence, where he shouts at his opponent during KO. We will tell you now that this bit includes the use of a four letter word, so you may not want to let the kids hear that part if they are nearby.

Check out the 17 second clip right here and let us know what you think in the comments afterwards. How much would it take to add voices to this game, and is this particular aspect a mark or break for you personally?

If you would like to see more in the same way, we have also run a story with the entire introductory trailer for the game, copied with lots of original voice acting. Remember to look at it if you have not seen it yet.
