Willy Kambwala has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United.

Kambwala joined United in October last year from Sochaux for a fee of £ 3.6 million according to French outlet RMC Sport.

He was only 16 at the time, but is now 17 years old and has signed a professional contract.

The teenager posted on Instagram to mark the big day and hailed it as a proud moment.

What does Kambwala have to offer?

In truth, he has not been able to show much of what he can do due to rotten luck with injuries.

He only played one game after his arrival last season before sustaining an injury that kept him out for 11 months.

Kambwala recently returned from an injury and is really hoping to strike, now he has signed his first pro deal.

He is a central defender who has pace and confidence on the ball in his game.

United’s club website shared the fact that Kambwala has been captain of France’s 17-year-old side, underlining his leadership qualities.

He is currently in United’s U-18 lineup, which means he is still a reasonable way away from first – team considerations.

But he is in the right place to continue his development and hopes to kick in after missing almost a year of football.
