Work will begin later this month on what will be Salford’s tallest building after the council’s planning committee approved its plans.
Work on One Heritage’s £ 163 million The £ 55-storey Greengate tower was delayed after the developer decided to make some design changes
The 390,000-square-foot skyscraper would be the tallest building in Salford at 173 meters and the second tallest in Greater Manchester behind Deansgate Square’s South Tower, which stands at 200 meters high.
According to its website, the 55-story residential building will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as commercial areas and major public improvements, including a scenic river bridge along the Irwell
This scheme is expected to be completed in 2025
