Police have closed all lanes on a busy highway in both directions.
GMP has confirmed reports of a man ‘walking on the highway and the hard shoulder’.
The incident is still ongoing and a complete closure is in effect.
The M602 through Salford has been closed in both directions as rescue services are on site.
According to a bus company, a pedestrian walks ‘along the roadway’.
In a statement, the GMP said: “Officers were called to the M602 near junction three around 10.20am on 10 October 2021 following reports of a man walking on the motorway and the hard shoulder.

The closure is in place between intersections two and three, Regent Road roundabout and Gilda Brook roundabout through Weaste.
It comes as many thousands of people are in Manchester for the Manchester Marathon.
There are fears of delays as a result.
