The comedy-drama, fully titled The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun, is set in a fictional 20th-century French city centered on three different stories.
The anthology film follows the development of a series of stories that were published in the title magazine, and it opens with editor Arthur Howitzer Jr. (Murray) on the last day of the newspaper.
