The spa

Disconnect from reality deep inside The Retreat, an entire floor dedicated to wellness, fitness and nutrition. Hidden away at the very bottom of the building, start with a workout in the fully equipped gym, then come back with some time in the sauna, steam room or just float in the beautiful blue pool and hydro pool. Book a tension-reducing Tibetan Harmony massage treatment or Gold Hydralifting Facial to cleanse, exfoliate and nourish your skin with extra golden sparkles. Relax on one of the sun loungers by the pool and enjoy yourself with a Forever Young fruity juice from the Refuel juice bar. This is a true sanctuary for revitalization.

The neighborhood / area

From non-stop Leicester Square you can stroll down the narrow streets of Soho and end up across Oxford Street and Regents Street, or walk the other way to Covent Garden- everything is within walking distance of the hotel. Walk around the back streets and stumble across quirky shops and foodie hotspots, or hop on the tube and enjoy a stroll in one of London’s beautiful green parks. With so many world-famous London landmarks nearby, including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and The National Portrait Gallery, there is never a quiet moment.

The service

The staff is on the ball. Every corner you turn, there is someone greeting you. Talk to the skilled concierge about booking dinner reservations, taxis and advice on where to go and what to see nearby. They remember your name, and if it’s raining, give yourself a Mary Poppins-style umbrella.

For families

Children are welcome with 28 suites that can comfortably accommodate a cot, restaurants that offer high chairs and certain times when the little ones can enjoy the pool without ruining the adult zen time in The Retreat.

Eco effort

The Londoner is top of his game when it comes to environmental efforts. It secured a £ 175 million green loan from HSBC UK and sits in the Excellent category with BREEAM – the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings and adapting them to the most efficient boilers, coolers and fans. Walk around and note down the green initiatives – from lighting and temperature control systems that go into standby mode if no movement is detected to minimize spillage, to each room with refillable Nordaq water bottles, which are filtered and drained on site. The hotel’s lifts are manufactured by Mitsubishi with the latest technology to save energy, and contactless check-in is possible using a mobile key. Not only does this mean you can skip the queue and go straight to your room, but it also reduces the use of plastic key card-win-win.
