A pregnant Melbourne woman is remembered as a loving daughter, sister and mother of two who dedicated her life to her children as detectives for homicide squads investigate her death.
Michelle Darragh, 32, died Saturday night at the Bayswater North home of her former partner, Ben Coman, 29.
Rescue services were called to the Huntington Avenue property in Melbourne East around 7.30pm and found the couple inside with life-threatening injuries.
Mrs Darragh, from The Basin, died on the spot and Mr Coman was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition, where he remained under police guard on Sunday.
Police said the exact circumstances of the incident were investigated by the killing squad. They are not looking for others in relation to the death.
The couple had two young sons together and another child on the way, but had been split weeks ago, Ms Darragh’s grieving family said.
They said they wanted the public to remember Mrs Darragh as “the most beautiful soul you could ever have”.
“She lived for her children and family and always put other people first in front of herself. We will always remember her beautiful nature and her infectious smile that lit the room as she walked into it, ”said a family member Aging.
