A woman has died after being hit by a bus in Glasgow.
Roseann McLaughlan, 71, was hit by the vehicle near Buchanan Bus Station, around 3:30 p.m., Thursday.
Rescue services attended and she was rushed to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for critical injury treatment.
Scottish police confirmed on Sunday that she was dead.
The force said in a statement: “Investigations into the crash are underway and anyone with information, particularly dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 indicating incident number 2232 on Thursday, October 7, 2021.”

On Thursday, a police spokesman said: “We received a report of a bus colliding with an elderly woman at Buchanan Bus Station, Glasgow, around 3.45pm on Thursday 7 October.
“The emergency services participated, including the fire department and the ambulance service. The woman has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and is believed to be in a serious condition. Investigation is underway.”
After the news of Mrs. McLaughlin’s death broke out this morning, people shared their condolences online.
“Thoughts with the lady family at this sad time also thoughts with the bus driver,” one woman wrote.
