Brian Laundrie’s parents came from their home in Florida on Sunday night to remove a protest laundry basket from their front lawn – as well as a tribute poster dedicated to the refugee’s deceased girlfriend, Gabby Petito.

Chris and Roberta Laundrie, who cleared about 10 white laundry baskets from their North Port property, refused to answer questions from the overall media, according to video posted by Fox News.

“Let me just do it,” said Chris, who last week joined the week-long search of a vast nature reserve for his 23-year-old son — the only person of interest in Petito’s disappearance and death.

Last week, a Pennsylvania woman handed over a laundry basket and a sign that read “Dirty Laundrie come clean” on their lawn. The display – which included the sign, a box of detergent and a bottle of bleach – caused outrage online.

Marissa Zdazinsky, 46, of Hershey, told Sun she was only sending a message to Laundrie’s parents to cooperate with law enforcement.

Police and the FBI continue to hunt for Brian Laundrie, who is wanted for questioning regarding the death of his girlfriend, Gabby Petitio.

Laundrie disappeared last month after his parents claimed he was going on a 25,000-acre hike at the Carlton Reserve, where authorities have been searching since Sept. 18.

His parents initially told police that their son left the house on September 14 – but they waited three days to report him missing despite the notoriety around him.

Last week, family lawyer Steven Bertolino said in a statement that the laundries had made a mistake and said Brian actually left the house on September 13th.

Laundrie had returned home without her 22-year-old boyfriend on Sept. 1, nearly three weeks before her body was found at a Wyoming campground on Sept. 19.

Meanwhile, Petito’s family visited a temporary memorial to the slain woman at North Port City Hall, where they picked up some of the items before removing them on Tuesday, according to News Nation Now.
