The Cumbrian duo Jarrad Branthwaite and James Trafford helped England Under-20s to an emphatic victory today.
They both played in the 5-0 victory against the Czech Republic.
Goalkeeper Trafford and defender Branthwaite both started the match in Teplice.
And they contributed to a clean sheet for Andy Edwards’ Young Lions.
Everton’s former Carlisle United defender Branthwaite, from Wigton, played the whole match in the heart of England’s defense.
Manchester City prospect Trafford, from Greysouthen, was replaced in the second half as the visitors saw a comfortable victory.
It was the goalkeeper’s second U20 outing in five days after he played a 1-1 draw against Italy last Thursday.
Strikes by Miguel Azeez, Jay Stansfield, Faustino Anjorin, James Hill and own goal by Martin Suchomel completed the route.
