Halloween Haunt at Wonderland
Nothing screams October like Halloween Haunt in Canada’s Wonderland. Running on select nights through October 31, Wonderland is being transformed into a terrifying amusement park. This year’s horrors include more than 500 monsters, scary zones, street performers, live music, exciting night tours and live shows.
Legends of Horror
The grounds of Casa Loma have once again been transformed into a haunted immersive trail. The two-kilometer-long path begins in the lower gardens and winds through the tunnels and the darkest spaces that had never before been open to the public. Family lessons begin at 17:00, with standard times starting at 19.00 Visit legendsofhorror.ca for information and tickets.
Toronto Haunted Walks
Haunted Walk runs several ghostly walks for those who want a closer look at Toronto’s most eerie places. Choose from Ghosts of Black Creek Pioneer Village, Spirits of the Distillery District Ghost Tour or the original Haunted Walk, which features some of the most backbone ghost stories from the earliest days in the city. Visit hauntedwalk.com for more information.
Spooktacular Light Show
One of the biggest Halloween light shows in GTA is now happening at Mount Joy GO station in Markham. It has more than a million lights along a two-kilometer route with funny characters, a pumpkin-filled transit tunnel and 3D displays.
Exhibition venue Ghost Walks
It is no surprise that Exhibition Place may be haunted. The horticultural building was once used as a temporary morgue; the place was a bloody battlefield during the war of 1812; and the plot was once home to two military forts. The daily two-hour ghost tours start at 19.00 and runs until 29 October.
Halloween Nights of Lights
After sold out last year, Lights of Lights returns to Richmond Hill GO Station on select nights until the end of October. This year’s experience features more than 1.5 million lights animated and synchronized to your favorite Halloween tunes along with a new drive-through trick or treat track where costumed actors will deliver candy. Visit nightsoflights.ca for more information.
