Michael Carroll talks about blowing up his £ 10m lottery winnings

The infamous lottery winner Mickey Carroll has remarried his ex-wife, who once branded him a “big shot” and left him to use prostitutes.

The 38-year-old blew the £ 9.7 million fortune he won in 2002 at sex parties, drugs, fast cars and holidays, the Daily Record reports.

But he now appears to be living the quiet life in Belfast after tying the knot with his ex, Sandra Aiken, at a small ceremony on Saturday.

In a 2009 interview, she attacked him for his lively efforts after their divorce.

A friend said: “Mickey has calmed down a lot and has lived a pretty good life and worked hard. Him and Sandra buried the hatch and got back together and it has all worked out well for them.

“It happened very quickly in the last few months, but they fell in love and are really happy together now. That which is past is forgotten. “

Mickey ended up without money and homeless after his hedonistic holidays on the beaches of Jamaica, Barbados and Puerto Banus.

He was often depicted wearing sporty jewelry and sportswear from the Ibrox Club and was branded as “Rangers-Daft Lotto Lout” and “King of Chavs” to create beliefs about antisocial behavior and imprisonment.

Mickey was only 19 and was working as a binman in Norfolk when he spent his last pound on his first ever lottery.

He had said: “It did not go wrong – it was the best 10 years of my life for £ 1. I do not look back with any regrets, that is for sure.

“I think I’m lucky to be alive. If I still had the money, I would probably be 6 feet below. ”

In 2019, it was revealed how he had a job delivering coal and firewood in Moray for £ 400 a week after moving to Scotland for a fresh start.

He rented an apartment in Elgin, where he worked in many jobs, including a slaughterhouse and biscuit factory.

Sandra, now 38, said in 2009: “Mickey thought he was a big shot, better than anyone because he had money and he surrounded himself with hangers.

“I went because he was frying £ 10 million away on drinks and drug abuse and cheating on me with prostitutes.”
