Shocking footage captures a mass fight in the city center that ended with one teenager being stabbed to death and another fighting for his life in the hospital.
Kian Tordoff, 19, was told by family and friends to be one of two teenagers who sustained knife wounds in the disturbance at 5:45 a.m. Sunday.
Dramatic footage has now emerged of the fight leading to the tragedy and saw a 16-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
The footage shows a large number of young men acting blows in front of a crowd that meanders for blood.
Young girls are also seen fighting while an unseen man shouts “he gets it” and “gives it to him” to the men involved.
A murder investigation was launched yesterday in Bradford, West Yorkshire, after the death.
Police discovered the wounded men after they were called to John Street.
The teenagers were said to have partyed at The Village nightclub in Sackville Street before the tragedy struck.
The second victim is in the hospital in a critical but stable condition while the two arrested men remain in custody.
Kian was hailed on social media after he was named online.
A family member wrote: “My heart breaks so much for the whole family to lose another innocent young boy.
“Kian Tordoff you are loved and will be missed so much cuz. Love you so much my heart hurts.”
Detective Inspector Marc Bowes, from the team for homicide and major investigation, said: “Unfortunately, a young man has lost his life and another is still fighting for his.
“This is an absolutely devastating incident, and an extensive police operation and investigation is underway to identify and arrest those responsible.
“As a result of our inquiries, two men have been arrested and we continue to gather evidence in relation to this tragic incident.
“This has happened in a prominent place in Bradford city center, and although the area is generally quieter at the time of day when this incident occurred, there will have been people around.
“Our understanding from the first calls to the police is that there was a large group fighting and a number of these people will be significant witnesses and we will encourage them to make themselves known.
“I ask everyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem in itself, to contact as soon as possible, as it may have an impact on our inquiries.”
