Ottawa Transit Commission approves zero-emission fleet plan for OC Transpo

The plan requires approval from Ottawa City Council before an agreement with Canada Infrastructure Bank can be negotiated.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, along with Canada's Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, at an event in March 2021 announcing the federal government's commitment to help transit agencies transition to zero - emission fleets. The city's Transit Commission has approved a plan that would eventually deliver 450 zero-emission buses to OC Transpo by 2027.
