Manchester City goalie Harry Kane is happy with Tottenham, according to the club’s CEO of football Fabio Paratici.

In a speech to CalcioMercato, the Italian official revealed that Kane is still eager to stay with Spurs. This is despite fierce rumors over the summer that the striker was keen to leave the club in north London.

City were the frontrunners for Kane for most of the transfer window. In fact, reports even suggest that bids had been submitted for the English captain.

Kane, however, remained with Spurs as City could not sign a striker. And now, according to Paratici, the striker is happy to still play for Tottenham.

The Tottenham director said: “Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We have decided to keep Harry last summer to start remodeling and we are happy with our choice. There is no need for new conversations with Harry. He knows how to share the feeling of belonging to Spurs. ”

That’s an interesting wording from Paratici given how desperate Kane seemed to want to leave Spurs. As January slowly approaches, City may be able to revive their interest in the Spurs star.

Still, some city supporters on social media believe that Paratici does not make sense. In addition, fans are eager for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to finish over Kane given the entire episode over the summer.
