Retailers in New South Wales have reported enthusiastic customers and (for the most part) respectful behavior today as retailers open their doors for the first time in months.
“It’s been a great start,” said Paul Zahra, CEO of the Australian Retailers Association.
“NSW retailers are relieved and excited to be open, and customers are out to take full advantage of Freedom Day’s privileges – with hairdressers and beauty therapy one of the most popular destinations.
“Obviously, there were a couple of dental problems today with vaccination certification, where some customers were still unsure of how to access their certificate. However, most people have been patient and in general it has been surprisingly smooth, ”he said.
