Detectives are desperately looking for two teenage girls missing from their homes in London and Kent after a man was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking.
Meet police say the girls, who are cousins, are believed to be at risk of injury and officers are “more and more concerned about their safety”.
15-year-old Andreea was last seen Friday, Oct. 1, at his home in Canterbury, Kent.
Her cousin, 16-year-old Izabela, was last seen on Sunday 3 October in Harrow, west of London.
A high-risk investigation of missing persons has been launched, and officers are pursuing a series of investigation lines in an attempt to find the two girls.
In addition to London and Kent, they are believed to have connections to Leicester and Dundee. Officers from Police Scotland assist Metropolitan Police officers with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Tony Bellis of the North West Public Protection Unit said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of Andreea and Izabela.
‘While we keep an open mind as to their whereabouts, we think they may have been taken outside of London by people who might hurt them.
“I would like to appeal directly to Andreea and Izabela. You are not in trouble and there are people who will help you. Contact the police or someone you trust when it is safe to do so.
“I would also urge the public, especially in London and Dundee, to come forward if they have information that can help us.”
Anyone who sees the girls should call 999. Anyone with other information about their whereabouts should call 101 and provide the reference CAD7399 / 06OCT.
