The infamous lottery winner Michael Carroll who blew his £ 9.7million fortune on beverages, drugs and brothels has remarried to his ex-wife who left him after he cheated on her with prostitutes.

The 38-year-old, called ‘Lotto lout’, was only 19 when he won the multi-million jackpot in 2002 after buying a £ 1 ticket.

But the lotto winner, who worked as a binman in Norfolk at the time of his victory, blew up his fortune on drinks, drugs, fast cars, vacations and sex parties and was bankrupt and on benefits in 2013.

His lifestyle with great efforts too brought a speedy end to his marriage to wife Sandra Aitken, now 38, who accused him of sleeping with prostitutes.

However, the couple remarried during an intimate ceremony on Sunday and are now reportedly living a quiet life in Belfast, reports the Daily Record.

A source told the Daily Record: ‘Mickey has calmed down a lot and has lived a pretty good little life and worked hard.

‘Him and Sandra buried the hatch and got back together and it has worked well for them.

‘It happened very quickly in the last few months, but they fell in love quite a bit and are really happy together now. What has been forgotten in the past. ‘

The couple, who share a teenage daughter, tied the knot in 2003, but they divorced in 2008 after the independent King of Chavs went into a lifestyle of great effort after his lottery win.

In 2009, Sandra described Carroll as a “big shot” who started “frying 10 million pounds away on beverages and drugs”.

She told The Mirror: ‘Mickey thought he was a big shot, better than anyone because he had money and he surrounded himself with hangers.

‘I left because he was frying £ 10 million away on drinks and drug abuse and cheating on me with prostitutes.’

After their split, Carroll, who was often depicted wearing designer jewelry and sportswear, continued to live in extravagance and appeared in court more than 30 times, mostly arriving in sports cars and drinking booze.

He also made no secret of the fact that he was a woman, and once claimed that he had bedded about 4,000 women.

The lottery winner also admitted to having become a ‘full alcoholic’ and said he would go on extravagant holidays to the Costa del Sol.

He was given an ASBO to terrorize his neighbors and was jailed for five months in 2004 after failing to comply with a drug treatment injunction imposed as part of a cocaine possession conviction.

His accountant warned him in 2005 that he was down to his last million, and in February 2006, he was jailed for nine months for affray.

In February 2013, he was declared bankrupt and was back on Jobseeker’s compensation.

At his lowest point, he moved into a homeless hotel for three months while struggling to find work because of his reputation.

He then worked at the Walkers biscuit factory in Aberlour before being licensed to work at a slaughterhouse.

In 2019, it was revealed that Carroll had moved to Scotland and worked seven days a week as one coal miner.

He told The Mirror: ‘It did not go wrong – it was the best 10 years of my life for 1 pound. I do not look back with any regret, that is for sure. ‘
