Detectives say the arrests came after a series of overnight stays.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he was later discharged from the hospital.
A section of the Littleton Road road remained taped off between Gargrave Street and Whitewater Drive on Wednesday morning.
Silsden Walk, an alley just off Littleton Road, was also blocked by police while a number of shops and businesses within the block were unable to open.
After the shooting, residents who lived near the site said they feared their area was ‘getting worse’.
A resident who asked not to be named said: “There has been a lot of police activity here recently.
“It is scary. I have lived here for 20 years and it is getting worse.
“Things like this seem to be happening quite a lot lately.”
Another local was horrified after hearing the shots ring out.
