A 41-year-old man died Wednesday night after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Vancouver.

The collision, which involved a motorcycle and a white Mazda 3, happened around 1 p.m. 18:45 near Rupert Street and East 41st Avenue.

Vancouver police say the motorcyclist, a resident of Vancouver, died despite efforts by paramedics to save his life.

The driver of the Mazda, a 26-year-old Vancouver man, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Police say drugs and alcohol are not currently considered to be the cause of the collision.
