Fremantle Dockers captain Nat Fyfe has added fuel to rumors that he is dating Australian cricket star Ellyse Perry after seeing her lead the Sydney Sixers to a win at the WBBL opening in Tasmania overnight.
The Brownlow medal was seen in the stands in the rainy match as the Perry Sixers claimed a four-wicket victory over the Melbourne Stars at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart.
Fyfe, 30, is recovering from shoulder surgery, where he stayed in Melbourne and sat out in the final rounds of the AFL season.
Perry, also 30, is based in the city and plays for Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League.
The Lake Grace product recently returned to WA, where he took on various media commitments to the Perth Finals and participated in Brownlow, where he presented the Ollie Wines medal solo.
But it looks like Fyfe is spending time on Apple Isle – where the start of the WBBL is based – ahead of Fremantle’s pre-season.
This is the second time the pair have had a kind of Tasmanian rendezvous after the international cricketer was discovered in the Dockers exchange after Fyfa’s 200th match against Hawthorn back in July.
Appearing smiling with family and friends of the midfielder for the significant milestone in his career sparked rumors of a romance and made many feel the duo as Australia’s newest sporting power couple.
Perry recently became the country’s first cricketer – man or woman to score 5,000 runs and claim 300 wickets in international cricket.
