Recordings of Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s upcoming action RPG, which the studio itself considers the spiritual sequel to Dark Souls, have reportedly leaked online. According to journalist Jeff Grubb, the gameplay was recorded on an Xbox One console. The footage does not show anything particularly significant, although based on the character’s jump in gameplay, it appears that players will be able to jump more fluently in the Elden Ring than in most previous FromSoftware games.
It is important to take leaks with a pinch of salt, although based on the visual location of the leaked gameplay it is very likely that the leak is real as the surrounding environment matches castles, forests and the green sky seen in official screenshots . You can see the leaked footage below:
If the leak is real, it marks the first time we’ve seen the Elden Ring gameplay outside of official trailers. We expect to see more of Elden Ring soon as the game is scheduled to release on January 21, 2022, but this little bit will definitely make fans excited in the meantime. Fire Ring is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2022 and could easily end up being one of the best Xbox games ever, so anything is sure to get fans hyped.
