Hyper has announced a pair of over-the-top USB-C accessories: HyperJuice 245W USB-C battery pack and HyperJuice 245W USB-C GaN charger, each offering four USB-C ports to charge all your gadgets at once .

Despite the large “245W” in the names here, neither the new charger nor the new battery pack uses the recently released USB-C PD 3.1 specification, which allows charging at up to 240W. Rather, the number refers to the total combined watts that the new products can emit across the four total ports; however, each port maximizes at 100W. (Which means you can’t use it for 140W fast charging on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, for example.)

The HyperJuice 245W USB-C GaN Charger has four ports, each rated at 100W, although charging is split as follows due to the unusual USB-C specifications: one device up to 100W; two devices of up to 100W each; three units with two up to 100W and one up to 45W; or four units with one at 100W and three at 45W.

Similarly, the battery pack also has various limitations; see the following table here for an overview of the different options for power distribution. The battery pack itself is a 27,000mAh (100Wh) battery, which means that just fits below the maximum limit for bringing aircraft.

The two products are not the first high-power USB-C chargers or battery packs we have seen; Zendure released similar products last year, including the SuperTank Pro battery pack, which is similar to the new HyperJuice in that they appear to have identical screens and iconography.

The new HyperJuice charger and battery pack can be delivered on Indiegogo, with shipping scheduled for December. The charger starts at $ 99 with early bird prices, with an expected retail price of $ 199, while the battery pack starts at $ 149 with an expected retail price of $ 299.
