Adele recently gave her fans a glimpse of her lavish LA home as she took Vogue on a tour of her American mansion for their 73 question series.

While chatting with the publication, the London-born star revealed that she is trying to make her American home look like a traditional English cottage.

Viewers could see nodding to the singer’s British roots during the video tour — with even a Tottenham tube sign visible on one of the walls of the mother-in-law’s property.

Despite raising a multimillion-pound fortune and owning a luxury home in LA, many fans were surprised to hear Adele’s favorite place to call home was a place she lived before she became a house name.

The star, who also owns property in London, admitted during her interview that a small apartment in West Norwood, which she shared with her mother and an apartment buddy, was “the best house” she has ever lived in.

Adele was born in Tottenham, north London in 1988, and was raised on her own by mother Penny Adkins after her late father left the family home when the singer was just two years old.

After a brief stint in Brighton, the upcoming star and her mother returned to London in 1999 when the Easy On Me singer was nine years old.

The couple then lived in the Brixton district of South London before settling in West Norwood, where they lived until 2006.

In her latest chat with British Vogue, Adele proudly spoke about her childhood and the small apartment, saying it was “the best house I have ever lived in”.

The award-winning star continued her journey down the memory path in another video where she sampled the classic British cuisine for the Ultimate British Taste Test challenge.

Speaking of her teenage home – located above a discount store on the high street – Adele credited the property with introducing her to the traditional dessert Eton Mess.

“I think my first memory of the Eton mess would have been … I mean I grew up in north London in Tottenham, but we did a few years in south London when I was older,” said the blonde beauty during the food-themed chat.

“It was the best house I’ve ever lived in, it was with my mother.”

She went on to say, “In fact, this house is always talked about in the press, as if it was like really run-down and stuff like that, because it was over what became a discount store, and all our little roof terraces were all connected.”

Now a millionaire, Adele came from the traditional working class start before finding fame and fortune, graduating in art from the BRIT school in 2006.

Her much-loved West Norwood apartment was home to Adele, mother Penny and an apartment buddy from 11 to 18, and is believed to be the inspiration behind one of her early smash hit singles, Hometown Glory.

Speaking of her beloved home as a teenager, the Grammy winner said, “Me and my mom and our roommate lived across a store next to a garage — it was fired a few months ago.”

After signing a life-changing record deal at the age of 18 in 2006, Adele packed her bags and moved into a delicious Notting Hill pad when she became one of Britain’s most popular rising stars.

Since Adele said goodbye to her home in West Norwood 15 years ago, much has changed for both the star and the London property.

The discount store that once lived under the global icon’s old home is long gone and has since been transformed into a pub called Knowles of Norwood.

After opening their doors in 2015, the place tweeted the naughty star and invited her in for a draft beer.

“@Adele we are opening a new pub on Thursday over your old apartment in West Norwood. See you at the bar for a pint?”, They asked the star prior to their launch.
