Nerf has entered into a partnership with 343 Industries to create an advanced copy of Needler from Halo.

The result is the aptly named Nerf LMTD Halo Needler. “This Nerf dartblaster recreates the blaster’s distinctive design with flexible needles that light up when you grab the handle!” Nerf says on its product page. “Shoot arrows and watch the needles go dark to simulate how they start from the blaster in the game. Other luminous accents add to the intriguing visual presentation.”

The Nerf LMTD Halo Needler comes with 10 official Nerf Elite foam arrows – all of which can be loaded into the rotating drum at once – and a display stand. The replica can also be set to a display mode “, so you can activate all lighting functions and place the blaster on the included stand to create an eye-catching display,” says Nerf, as long as you have the necessary batteries.

Nerf says the replica also comes with “a card with a code to lock content in the game in the Halo Infinite game”, but does not specify what the content will be exactly. (If we were to guess, we would say that Nerf-themed skins would be an obvious option, especially since they did not have to be limited to Needler.) We should find out more when the product starts shipping.

This is not Nerf’s first Needler copy. The company also made the Nerf MicroShots Halo Needler Blaster, which costs only $ 11, but the difference in quality between the products is obvious. The Nerf MicroShots replica is a hand-loaded blaster that has no lights and only loosely resembles in-game weapons. The Nerf LMTD version is significantly more extravagant.

It also has the price that matches: the Nerf LMTD Halo Needler costs $ 100. Nerf accepts pre-orders until December 31, but the company says customers will not be charged until the product is ready to ship, which it does not expect to be before sometime around November 2022. It’s a little late for a Halo Infinite tie-in, given the game’s December 8 release date, but it’s going on.
