Police have released CCTV footage of two men following a ‘fearsome’ shooting robbery.

A 26-year-old man was robbed on Tuesday 12 October on Manchester Street in Oldham – just outside the city center.

A man threatened the victim with a gun and demanded that he hand over cash and his bank card.

The victim was left with no injuries, but he was left ‘incredibly shaken by the ordeal’, Greater Manchester police said.

The perpetrator fled on foot in the direction of Oldham city center.

Detectives have today (Sunday, October 24) released CCTV images of two men they would like to talk to in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Mike Ogiliev from GMP’s Oldham district said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and I’m grateful he was left unharmed. This happened on the outskirts of the town center early in the evening so we are convinced that there will have been people in the area who witnessed the incident that took place or saw the perpetrator.

“We are following all available lines of inquiry to ensure that the man responsible is arrested and facing the right justice. Today we have released two photos of men we believe could help our investigation. If you recognize these men, please contact us please contact the police as soon as possible. “
