Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has been notified of six new COVID-19 cases within 24 hours until 8pm last night.

Of the six new cases, two are new cases in the Eurobodalla region with one in Surf Beach and one in Nelligen. Both cases are under investigation.

Four new cases are in the Queanbeyan Palerang region (3 are in Queanbeyan and 1 in Jerrabomberra). All cases are under investigation.

This brings the total cases in SNSWLHD to 421 since the start of the current outbreak in June. Everyone in the district should be aware of any symptoms that may signal COVID-19, including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever. If symptoms occur, people should isolate and get tested immediately and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

It is important that everyone aged 12 years and over continues to stand up for the COVID-19 vaccination. It is easy to order using the Commonwealth Government’s Vaccine Clinic Finder.

To help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • If you are uncomfortable, test and isolate immediately – do not delay.
  • Wash your hands regularly. Take rubbing alcohol with you when you go out.
  • Keep distance. Leave 1.5 meters between yourself and others.
  • Wear a mask indoors in public places and while on or waiting for public transportation.
