WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Department are investigating a murder that took place on Monday, October 25, 2021 in the 4900 block of G Street, Southeast.

Around 8:31 p.m., members of the Sixth District responded at the designated location to receive the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim in the hallway of a residential building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Another victim, an adult man, was located inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded on the scene and found that the female victim did not show signs consistent with life. The female victim remained at the scene until it was transported to the chief physician. The male victim was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Dametrics Evans from Southwest, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $ 25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
