The purchase comes after the retired batsman sold the marital home he once shared with ex-wife Kyly in May.
He withdrew about $ 12 million from the sale, The Sunday Telegraph reported.
The Clarkes family had bought the property, also in Vaucluse, for $ 8.3 million in 2014.
