Prime Minister Andrew Furey is in Scotland as part of the Canadian delegation to the UN climate conference.
The Prime Minister tweeted this morning that all citizens have a role to play in the fight against climate change.
He argues that Newfoundland and Labrador are well positioned to continue the transition to cleaner energy with its renewable resources.
Prime Minister Furey also had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Trudeau and discuss the environmental goals of both governments.
Our government is focused on innovation, electrification and support for our offshore industry in this time of transition. Today at # COP26 prime minister @JustinTrudeau and I talked about our continued work – together – to lower emissions and grow the green economy. pic.twitter.com/2dJtH7feDu
