Residents of Brampton are encouraged to provide their input regarding the noise barrier on Williams Parkway.

The wall was implemented between Harridine Road to North Park Drive – it was originally intended to mitigate noise, which was expected as a result of the planned expansion of Williams Parkway, but that plan has since been canceled.

The council took the decision to reconsider whether it was necessary to expand Williams Parkway from four lanes to six after construction of the wall had already begun.

So in November last year, the expansion was officially canceled by the city.

As the municipality no longer has plans to proceed with the expansion, residents are encouraged to provide feedback on the wall.

The study is specifically related to adding a stain to the wall, as well as potentially transforming it into a mural designed by local artists.
